Graduate Advising

Please submit all CENG/NANO questions to Graduate Student Advising, email: NE-GradInfo@ucsd.edu (specify NANO or CENG, MS or PhD, and your TSN in your subject line for a timely response). You can expect a response from an advisor within 1-3 business days.


CENG/NANO Graduate Advising - New Days/Times

In person drop in advising hours are Monday. Tuesday advising hours are by appointment.

Online advising is currently held remotely via Zoom on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Students will join a waiting room and will be admitted one at a time to speak with a graduate advisor.  In order to help as many students as possible, each student will have a maximum time allotment of 10 minutes.  Please have your questions prepared ahead of time.  Students will need to sign in to Zoom to participate.

Students may attend drop-in advising on a "first come first serve" basis during the times below:

Advising  

In person drop in advising hours are Monday from 1-2PM PST in SME 240A.

In person advising hours by appointment are Tuesday from 10AM-12PM PST in SME 240A.

**Graduate Advising Sessions are held when possible and can be canceled without notice.

Please contact NE-GradInfo@ucsd.edu, requesting an Advising Appointment via Zoom or In-Person and indicate any questions/details to help us better prepare for our meeting with you. Please list 2-3 future dates/times you are available in the next 5 business days and the Graduate Coordinator will schedule an appointment with you.

 

Location

The Chemical and Nano Engineering administration office is in the Structural & Materials Engineering (SME) Building, 2nd Floor, Office 240.
